From the San Diego Airport to the Mexican border:
It will take about an hour and 15 minutes to get from the San Diego airport to the Mexican border. After you step off the trolley, it will take another 15 minutes to walk over the border and over the bridge to our location.. Here is a step by step description of hour to get from the airport to Implant Art Center.
After you get off the plane, go to the baggage claim area, and step out to the sidewalk. Look for the MTS (Metro Transit system) Bus stop. If you have doubts, just ask at the information desk in the lobby of baggage claim. There is only one MTS bus that goes by the airport, the 992, and it will take you to downtown San Diego.
When you get on the bus, have a $5 ready, and put it in the machine by the driver. He will give you a day pass that is good for both the bus and the trolley. tell the driver you want to get off at the American Plaza Trolley station. When you get off the bus, the American Plaza station is located across the street. Walking toward the trolley station, stay on the platform that is on your right.
There will be two different trains that come on your side of the platform. Although the trains are either green or red in color, they are called the Blue line or the Orange line. You are going to get on the Blue line. It will have "San Ysidro/Tijuana" on both the front window, and the side of the train. Take the blue line all the way to the border. It will take 45 minutes. When it stops, and you exit, you will see the US Customs building a little further down the track.
To Go into Mexico, look for the building that is across the tracks, where a McDonald's is located. The new pedestrian pathway that takes you into Mexico starts behind the McDonald's. There are signs to help direct you. Walk down the path towards Mexico, but before you cross the border, make sure you call us to give us a heads up. You will follow the indicated path into Mexico, and continue until you come to the first bridge that takes you up over the out bound traffic exiting Mexico. Go up the bridge, and at the top you will see a nother NcDonald's sign, as well as the large glass medical building, MEDAC, where we have our office. (Walking to the McDonalds, and turning left, you will see the Medac Building where we are located). You can't miss our building. Go through the main entry, and in the back of the lobby, you will see an elevator. Go to the top floor, and turn to the left. We are located in suite 202.
